Obradovic said that the most important task is the battle for knowledge, adding that it is necessary to open more new schools and that Serbia should have more students and more children.
He said that the development of education is the duty of all of those who work in this sector and added that the government and the ministry will be partners to all who are ready to fight for those goals in education and society.
Serbia needs more university educated people, he said and stressed that we need to nurture talent and also support those who do not have equal access to education.
Speaking about Kosovo, the Minister said that state unity is necessary and that we need to be aware of our responsibility to our ancestors and descendants.
The St Sava ceremony was held in the Sava Centre and attended by President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic, ministers, members of the Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, deputies, as well as representatives of religious communities, Serbian Army and embassies.
