RSD 490 million for Banatski Dvor gas storage facility

Serbian Minister for the National Investment Plan (NIP) Verica Kalanovic said today that a sum of nearly RSD 490.9 million has been set aside from the NIP for the gas storage facility in Banatski Dvor during the past three years.

Addressing a press conference Kalanovic said that the gas storage facility was one of the top NIP projects of the past three years, adding that RSD 113.5 million was allocated for this project in 2008.
She explained that this is only half of the funds needed to complete the project, stressing that the project will continue to be financed this year and talks concerning the matter were held with representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mining.
Kalanovic today signed agreements with the mayors of six cities concerning a project for helping build water supply systems.
The aim of the project is to provide clean and hygienic water to more than 600,000 people living in these municipalities. The project will be implemented in the municipalities of Kraljevo, Loznica, Sabac, Smederevo, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica and Vrsac and there are plans to extend the project to six other municipalities.
