Homen stressed that justice must be satisfied and that nobody is allowed to protect criminals.
He recalled that 258 war crimes cases have been processed in the previous five years, 91 of which were found guilty.
President of the Supreme Court Vida Petrovic-Skero pointed out that war crimes investigations are complicated, as these crimes happened several years ago and therefore the collecting of evidence is difficult.
She said that the upcoming judicial reforms, which imply great changes regarding the organisation and functioning of the judiciary, will not put the war crimes processes in jeopardy.
Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Dusan Ignjatovic stated that Serbia is making efforts to arrest and extradite the two remaining Hague indictees, adding that cooperation with the Hague tribunal is Serbia’s moral responsibility.
