Ivan Zivkovic’s "Huddersfield“ best film at Kiev film festival

Belgrade, 28 October 2008

The Serbian Film centre stated today that "Huddersfield" by Ivan Zivkovic has been declared the best feature-length film at the 38th Kiev international film festival Molodist.

The statement adds that the special award "Sunny Bunny" was presented to Milorad Milinkovic’s "Citulja za Eskobara" ("Obituary for Escobar“), adding that another eight films from Serbia were screened at the festival.

Within the programme titled "Orient Express", the film "Ljubav i Drugi Zlocini" ("Love and Other Crimes“) by Stefan Arsenijevic was screened and within the programme "Serbian New Wave" films "Film Noar" ("Film Noir“) by Srdja Penezic and Rista Topaloski and "Cetvrti Covek" ("The Fourth Man“) by Dejan Zecevic were also projected.

Other Serbian films screened were "Kenedi Se Zeni" ("Kennedy is Getting Married“) by Zelimir Zilnik, "Maradona" ("Maradona“) by Emir Kusturica, "Optimisti" ("Optimists“) by Goran Paskaljevic, "Klopka" ("The Trap“) by Srdjan Golubovic and "Film o Milosu Brankovicu" ("A Film about Milos Brankovic“) by Nebojsa Radosavljevic.
