Representatives of the Serbian government, National Bank of Serbia and the Danish government signed today a financial agreement on realisation and management of subcomponent 2.3 of the Programme of Local Economic Development in the Balkans.
The agreement was signed by Serbian Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic, Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Radovan Jelasic and Danish Ambassador to Serbia Mette Kjuel Nielsen.
At a press conference following the signing Dragutinovic said that the programme is worth €2 million and will assist small and medium-sized enterprises in the Nis district by enabling them easier access to loans.
She specified that the programme is primarily meant for textile and construction companies.
Jelasic noted that the maximum loan is up to €50,000 in dinar equivalent value, of which 70% can be used for investment and up to 30% for working assets.
