Addressing a press conference, Skundric said that 62.5% of the gas bill will be payable now and 37.5% during a period of six months from the day of the first payment. The government has instructed the Ministry of Energy and Mining to, in cooperation with Srbijagas and the Serbian Energy Agency, specify elements important for determining gas prices, to make an analysis of gas distributor’s margins, and to establish the volume of domestic production in order to keep gas prices as low as possible.
The Minister said that the government adopted today the bill on amendments to the law on deposit insurance, according to which the deposit-insurance limit for physical persons, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises will be raised from €3,000 to €50,000.
Skundric said that bills on amendments to the law on the Deposit Insurance Agency and the amendments to the law on insurance company and bank bankruptcy and liquidation were also adopted.
The Minister said that amendments to the decree on the procedure for restructuring companies subject to privatisation, the decree on the sale of assets by public tender and the decree on the sale of assets by public auction were also adopted.
Skundric said that Dusan Bajatovic was appointed the new director general of Srbijagas.
He said that the Serbian government appointed Djordje Bajec director of the Clinical Centre of Serbia, and Miloljub Albijanic head of the institute for publishing text books and teaching aids.
