Minister Slobodan Milosavljevic said that after completing administrative and legal procedures resulting in permanent confiscation, the Ministry will recycle the confiscated goods in order to contribute to environmental protection.
The market inspection plays an important role in fighting piracy, which is also part of the fight for the protection of copyrights and industrial property ownership, as well as of our own activities for consumer protection, prevention of unfair competition and repression of the grey economy, stressed the Minister.
He pointed out that one of Serbia’s top obligations regarding the implementation of the Association and Stabilisation Agreement is to synchronise its laws with EU legislation, especially in such key sections of the domestic market as protection of intellectual property rights.
The Ministry is to provide a real level of intellectual property rights’ protection within five years. Therefore Serbia has to show that in practice it implements its regulations, explained Milosavljevic.
The recycling will be carried out in the recycling centre in Omoljica near Pancevo, which is part of the Bozic & Sinovi company, concludes the statement.
