Serbian Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic announced that new media laws will come into line with the EU’s, noting however, that their adoption will be a challenge.

At an introductory debate on media laws, Bradic announced opening a public debate on these regulations.
Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic announced a strategy for digital broadcasting, as the EU is heading in that direction.
This plan should be completed by the end of the year, she said noting that this will result in more space for more broadcasters.
Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic said that coordinated action should result in a harmonisation of media laws and correct the present insufficiencies.
Milosavljevic said that the Trade Ministry is in charge of laws on advertising and e-commerce, which need to be in line with EU practice.
He called on all stakeholders to participate in the drafting of the law on advertising.
Speaking on the e-commerce law, he expressed hope it will be adopted within one month’s time.
