The statement says that the main goal of the meeting is that a working group for the synchronisation of media regulations presents a working plan and enables all participants to express their opinions and suggestions at the beginning of this important job.
Meeting topics will comprise the synchronisation of media regulations, media ownership transparency and inciting media pluralism, electronic media regulation, public service and independent regulatory bodies (broadcasting regulations), as well as a new concept of media regulations and medium and long-term goals in this area.
Nebojsa Bradic will open the meeting, while Minister of Telecommunication and Information Society Jasna Matic and Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic will speak in the introductory part.
The discussion will comprise representatives of state bodies and institutions, public radio-television services, national and local media, journalist and media associations, representatives of national councils and NGOs, as well as representatives of the European Council and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe who provide professional support to the Ministry of Culture regarding the synchronisation of regulation, adds the statement.
