Bradic and Jinghua said at a press conference that the programme for cultural cooperation will act as a bridge between the two countries for establishing dialogue and deepening friendly relations.
This programme provides a framework for achieving these goals and I am glad that there is conviction on the other side as well that cultural cooperation will prove to be an important factor in establishing a dialogue between two very different but friendly countries, said Bradic.
He said that the Chinese civilization is an ancient one, and today boasts modern production which is of great interest to the Serbian people, said Bradic.
The cooperation programme will help us open doors to better cultural communication between institutions and individuals, said the Minister of Culture, adding that cultural festivals will be held in both countries as a first step on this path.
According to Bradic, this will be an opportunity for Serbia to present its most valuable cultural achievements in China.
Jinghua said that traditionally friendly relations exist between the two countries, which improved even further during the previous years. He added that political relations have intensified, and cooperation in other areas has also improved and widened.
He said that China and Serbia coordinate very closely in international organisations, particularly when an issue is of vital importance to the other side.
China attaches great importance to cultural exchange and cooperation, which I think serves as a bridge between two nations and deepens friendly relations. Signing the agreement was important, but I think its implementation is even more important. I hope that with our joint efforts, implementation of this programme during the next five years will raise cultural exchange and cooperation to new levels, concluded Jinghua.
