At a press conference Petkovic invited citizens to attend the air show and see over 40 planes in which around 60 pilots and parachutists will perform various acts.
He explained that the goal of this event is to promote the Serbian air force and said he expects the air show to add to Serbia’s tourist offer.
The air show will begin at noon and around 100,000 visitors are expected to attend.
The audience will be able to see parachute jumps, ultra-light aircraft show and para-gliders of the Serbian Sports Federation. Jat Airways pilots will also take part in the show.
Commercial aviation will be represented by Pelican Airways, Air Pink, Prince Aviation and Aviogeneks International CG. MIG 29, “Eagle” and “Super Gull” fighter jets as well as a “Gazelle” type helicopter will also take part in the show.
The Interior Ministry will be represented at the show by its helicopter unit. The group “Zvezda” will also perform.
The event is being organised by the aviation association “Sveti Arhangel Gavrilo” and sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the Serbian Army and Jat Airways.
