Bradic said that these seminars guarantee preservation of Serbian language and are a point of cultural contact which enables an exchange of knowledge, culture and energy.
He announced that his Ministry will support such seminars in future and help equip the library of the Slavic Department at the Faculty.
Director of the International Slavic Centre Zlata Bojovic said that several dozens of top students of Serbian from Europe will attend the seminar and thus get acquainted with the spirit of Serbian language, the Cyrillic alphabet, as well as Serbian culture, history and tradition.
Over the course of 38 years, a total of 3,350 students attended this seminar. This year students will have arrived from Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, the UK, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus, Spain, Hungary and other countries.
Students will also visit monasteries Manasija and Hopovo, as well as several other sites important to the development of Serbian language and culture.
