Performances by Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Lithuania, Albania, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Latvia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Georgia, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus, Macedonia and Portugal will follow.
According to the decision by the jury and public from participant countries, the ten best compositions will go through to the final, which will be held on May 24 at which five direct finalists and 10 new finalists from the
first semi final will compete.
Voting on the performances, which will be opened by the first winner of the Eurovision contest Lys Assia, will be the public and the jury of Great Britain, France and Serbia will also take part.
During the counting of votes the public will have the opportunity to see part of the ballet “Ko To Tamo Peva” presented by the National Theatre of Belgrade.
The theme of the second semi-final is “Serbia for Beginners”, which will present Serbian culture to Europe.
The Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) will broadcast the second semi final live from 9pm.
