Before the screening of the film, Serbian Ambassador to Portugal Dusko Lopandic spoke about Serbian cinematography before a packed grand hall at the Film Archive, as well as Director of the Portuguese Film Archive João Bernard Kosta and Serbia’s prominent soundman who has been living and working in this country for years Branko Neskov.
Serbian films will be shown until May 30. Ten films will be screened including older as well as newer productions, presenting the work of Purisa Djordjevic, Dusan Makavejev, Zivojin Pavlovic and others.
The majority of the films are being shown in Portugal for the first time. This event has been organised with the support of the Serbian Foreign Ministry, the Yugoslav Film Archive and the Film Centre Serbia.
