Cubrilo said at a press conference that the Ministry’s new web portal has a determined visual identity and graphic design, which enables easier navigation through the portal, database, contents under the title "Diaspora" with exhaustive information and news from the Diaspora, and numerous sections and segments.
The website will be available in Serbian Cyrillic, Serbian Latin and English.
According to Cubrilo, in the next phase it will be possible to register at the web portal, which will also feature a picture gallery, a database of all laws, regulations and documents, a job exchange, virtual library, interactive games for learning the Serbian language, as well as Frequently Asked Questions.
The basic aim of designing the web portal is to improve information systems and to provide a dynamic website intended to inform the Serbian Diaspora, establish links between Serbian communities abroad and with domestic and foreign firms that wish to use the resources of Serbs living and working abroad.
According to some estimates, three to four million Serbs live abroad, and this new interactive portal is one of the ways in which the ministry will reach out to them and establish bilateral communication.
