21st Belgrade marathon starts tomorrow

Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic-Markovic said that 21st Belgrade Banca Intesa marathon will be held tomorrow, with the participation of over 1,000 marathon and half-marathon runners, and almost 30,000 recreation runners in the popular Fun Run.
Acting Major of Belgrade Zoran Alimpic sad that the Belgrade marathon will be promotion of not only sport and humanism, but of the great image of Belgrade and Serbia.
Alimpic said that with the mass participation in the marathon and the Fun Run we will send out a great picture of Serbia, which deserves to be part of Europe.
Coordinator of the international media activities of the Belgrade marathon Pat Butcher spoke about the interest of the world media for this event. He said that the Belgrade marathon may not be the world’s largest, but has attracted huge interest of the world media.
The marathon and half-marathon race starts tomorrow at 10 am, at the plateau in front of the Jat office, in Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra Street, while the Fun Run starts five minutes later in front of the main parliament building, and the destination of all races is in front of the hotel Moscow.
