Brajovic said that the Ministry of Culture can contribute to the preservation of Serbian religious sites with the use of modern technology, and added that modern equipment can help detect the presence of underground water which is important in protecting frescoes from damp.
The Minister said that he will also visit other Serbian monasteries in Kosovo-Metohija, particularly those which are under the protection of UNESCO, and said that the world is responsible for safeguarding Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo.
He pointed out that cultural life in Serb communities in Kosovo must be enriched and that the activities of the National Theatre from Pristina should be renewed.
Bishop Teodosije said that the Minister's visit is of particular importance for him and the brotherhood of this 14th-century monastery.
He pointed out that the Culture Ministry and Serbian Institute for Protection of Monuments have been taking continuous care of monasteries in Kosovo.
After the visit to Decani and the Patriarchate, Brajovic and his associates will visit Kosovska Mitrovica and the Serbian National Theatre, which has been relocated from Pristina.
