Fourth seeded Jelena Jankovic was defeated by Serena Williams, 1-6, 7-5, 3-6, in the final match of the WTA Sony Ericsson Open tournament in Key Biscayne.

Jankovic made 11 unforced errors and hit just three winners during the first set – which Williams won in under 30 minutes.
Williams was ahead 3-0 in the second set, but Jankovic did manage to win 7-5.
The American took a 5-0 lead in the third set, but the Serbian refused to give up and saved seven match points across the next three games to take the deciding set to 5-3.
The match ended in two hours and 25 minutes after Williams took the title with her eighth championship point in the next game.
