The Japanese government has donated €70,000 for procuring equipment for the Yugoslav Film Archives.
Serbian Minister of Culture Vojislav Brajovic said that cultural development is very important for society and recalled that the Yugoslav Film Archives is among the most significant cultural institutions in Serbia.
Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Tadashi Nagai explained that he recommended this donation as known himself how much the people of Serbia appreciate film art.
Director of the Yugoslav Film Archives Radoslav Zelenovic recalled that this film archive is famous worldwide for its films shot in the first half of the 20th century.
The Japanese government has invested €2.5 million in Serbian culture and sports.
