Kozmidis-Luburic told a press conference that the second out of ten planned blocks of flats to be constructed in New Belgrade will now be occupied, adding that the apartment building is worth RSD 100 million.
She said that construction of another building with 27 flats will soon begin in Novi Sad and noted that the Ministry intends to build an appropriate number of flats in Kragujevac as well.
Kozmidis-Luburic explained that in 2008 the Ministry set aside around €6.5 million from the National Investment Plan for the procurement of capital equipment.
She also specified that research areas that have been granted funds are physics, astronomy, chemistry and related sciences, biomedicine, mining, geology, traffic and machine engineering, agriculture, IT and the humanities.
Kozmidis-Luburic also announced that the Ministry will try to set aside more funds in the upcoming period and invest them in capital equipment.
