Serbian Minister of Religion Radomir Naumov today visited the Diocese of Vranje and the Pcinja district and presented the plan for this diocese, which envisages implementation of construction projects and assistance to the clergy in under-developed areas.
Naumov also visited the construction site of the church of St. Lazar and all Serbian martyrs, which is the first church to be built in Vladicin Han. After that he visited the monastery of St. Stefan in Gornje Zapsko, as well as churches in Presevo and Oraovica, to which the Ministry of Religion has extended material support for reconstruction and renovation purposes.
In Bujanovac and Vranje, Naumov visited spiritual centres and churches and met with the clergy, district and local self-government representatives.
During a meeting with Bishop Pahomije, the clergy and the monks Naumov presented a detailed plan of the Ministry’s activities for the Diocese of Vranje for 2008.
