Slobodan Milosavljevic at today's press conference
Milosavljevic told a press conference held following the government session that each municipality will receive RSD 5 million and recalled that two days ago the government
decided to set aside RSD 48 million for the flooded areas.
The Minister said that, together with Minister of Infrastructure Velimir Ilic, the government was presented with the Information on enormous damage caused by floods.
He said that an entire Roma settlement was moved into a sports hall, some 1,000 hectares of farm land was destroyed and a large number of cattle was killed whereas bridges on certain roads were demolished.
According to Ilic, the Serbian government will repair the damage and will provide accommodation to all citizens whose houses were destroyed in floods.
The Minister called on municipal headquarters which collect data on damage to accelerate work so that, if necessary, the government could provide additional funds for repair from the budget.
He said that all Serbian ministries have submitted action plans for helping Serbs and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo-Metohija in the case that Pristina decides to unilaterally declare independence.
Milosavljevic said that four ministries should provide additional information in reports, so that next week a single document could be drafted which would combine elements from all plans.
According to Milosavljevic, when all plans from all ministries are harmonised the Serbian government will have a single action plan.
