Ljajic said at the opening ceremony that by organising this event his ministry wishes to show that members of various religious and ethnic origins can live together and help each other.
We want to promote cultural diversity and present Serbia as it really is. Refugees, displaced persons, minorities and other groups of the population need to live under better conditions and through this event we want to say that the state will not forget them, stressed the Minister.
The exhibition, which offers a rich selection of paintings, art objects and ethnic clothing, was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organisations and businesspeople.
Proceeds from the sale will help the associations mentioned to carry on with their work and cherish their culture and traditions.
