The jury of the Council of the 52nd international book fair in Belgrade stated last night that the award for publisher of the year went to the Institute for Textbooks and the Official Herald from Belgrade.
The publication of the year is monograph "Charters and letters by Despot Stefan" (Povelje i pisma Despota Stefana) by Aleksandar Mladenovic, published by "Cigoja Stampa" publishing house, and the best editions are "First Book" (Prva knjiga), launched by Matica Srpska and "Adventures" (Pustolovine) published by "Kreativni Centar".
The best children's book in 2007 is "Zoological Songbook" (Zooloska Pesmarica) by Branko Stevanovic, while the most beautiful book last year is "Road to the Book" (Put do Knjige) by Mileta Grodanic, published by "Publikum" from Belgrade.
The stand of the Serbian Ministry for Diaspora, which is dedicated this year to Dositej Obradovic was proclaimed the best presentation at the fair.
