Mladjan Dinkic at today's press conference
Dinkic told a press conference that this company from northern Kosovo-Metohija will purchase equipment for production of lead with the funds approved.
The Minister announced that the Serbian government intends to restructure Trepca and UNMIK authorities have already been contacted for this purpose.
According to Dinkic, the government’s intention is to implement restructuring in agreement with UNMIK since it is very important that jobs are created for people living in Kosovo-Metohija, and the matter is not political but socio-economic.
Dinkic said that the subsidies should help Trepca to manage until restructuring begins, and explained that the idea is that Trepca and other companies in northern Kosovo-Metohija which mainly employ Serbs should be completely under the authority of the Serbian Privatisation Agency.
Dinkic said that workers of Vranje-based Yumco who do not show up at work for Zamber will be fired according to the Labour Law.
Dinkic said that these workers will not be entitled to the social programme and severance pay.
He expressed wonder as to why the majority of Yumco workers do not want to work for British company Zamber, as only 135 out of 523 workers said they want employment at Zamber.
This company is building a modern factory in Vranje, financed from the National Investment Plan with €6 million, Dinkic said noting that the new plant will create 3,000 new jobs.
The Minister said that the government relieved from duty Igor Avzner and Srdjan Djuric from the Council for Promotion of Serbia at their request.
