Coca Cola HBC Serbia Director for Communications Olja Stojanovic told a press conference that the competition for seven new students is open as of today October 15 until November 11, and each scholarship is worth €2,000 per academic year until the end of studies.
Students qualified to compete must have fulfilled conditions for admission for the third year of studies at one of the national universities, have an average minimum grade of 8.50, must speak excellent English and should be computer literate, explained Stojanovic and added that all further information may be obtained at the website of the company.
Loncar recalled that the project
Coca Cola Talents began last year in partnership with the Ministry of Education, aiming to provide support to students in developing professional skills.
The Serbian government is convinced that the future of the country is in education and in encouraging young talented people, for which purpose bigger funds are being allocated from the budget, said Loncar.
According to Loncar, the number of foreign companies in Serbia is increasing and they wish to help educate young people in Serbia.
General Manager of Coca Cola HBC Serbia Stefanos Vafidis said that having identified future managers in the second year of studies the company wishes to motivate potential businesspeople to see their future in Serbia.
Vafidis explained that this is a long term project, since continued development leads to increased business and needs of companies for local personnel who will have to conduct increasingly complicated operations.
By initiating the programme mentioned, Coca Cola HBC Serbia wishes to establish a positive attitude, passion for learning, enthusiasm and ambition among young people who are future managers. It also wants to contribute to improving the life of the community in which it does business by setting a positive example, said Vafidis.
