In a press conference held after the government session, Markovic said that no agreement has yet been reached on when the elections will take place.
He noted that the Ministry completed a draft law on territorial organisation and that three other laws need to be adopted before local elections.
He also said that most of the bills that need to be passed before presidential elections have been prepared.
According to him, it will take a few years to put voter registration lists in order but present voter registration lists will in no way bring the electoral result into doubt.
Markovic also said that the government today gave consent to
FCC Construction company to transfer 50% of concession rights to the company PORR Solutions Immobilien for construction of the Horgos-Pozega highway.
Speaking on the conflict within the Islamic community in Novi Pazar, the Minister said that the government did not discuss this conflict and recalled that political parties and the government called on the parties in the conflict to calm down.
There are things in which the state should not meddle such as problems within one religious community, they should solve this problem among themselves, said Markovic.
