Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic said today that all doctors in Serbia must inscribe by October 31 into the Doctor's Chamber and thus obtain the working licence, otherwise they will not be able to work as doctors as of January 1, 2008.
Speaking at a conference concerning the role of the doctor's chamber in the health system, Milosavljevic said that the Chamber will guarantee to citizens that their rights will be protected and will work on improving the reputation of medical profession. The basic mission of this organisation is continuous education of doctors.
The Serbian Doctor's Chamber is regionally divided to five cities – Novi Sad, Belgrade, Nis, Kragujevac and Kosovska Mitrovica.
Health workers who want to inscribe into the register of proper chambers can find the necessary information on the websites of the Serbian Doctor's Chamber, the Chamber of Nurses and Medical Technicians of Serbia, the Chamber of Biochemists and the Serbian Pharmaceutical Chamber.
At the end of the conference, Minister Milosavljevic and State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Nevena Karanovic inscribed into the register of the Doctor's Chamber.
