Serbian Minister of Justice Dusan Petrovic said that this Ministry will give full support to special prosecutor's offices and departments for war crimes and organised crime.
Speaking at a press conference held after the first working visit to this Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes, Petrovic said that he is satisfied with its work and that the Ministry of Justice will propose to the government and Serbian parliament to increase funding for this institution next year.
He said that the work of this Office has shown that Serbia is capable of holding trials for the most serious crimes.
The Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes and the Belgrade District Court will have a lot of work after the mandate of the ICTY expires, the Minister said and voiced hope that the Serbian judiciary will be able to take over all those cases.
