A ten-member delegation was selected after a day-long national final in which competitors from all over Serbia took part individually and in teams and competed in five video games acknowledged by "World Cyber Games" as official disciplines.
The winner in the “FIFA Soccer 2007” is Goran Rebic, in “Need For Speed – Carbon” the fastest was Vladimir Ranisavljevic, the best in the “Warcraft 3” was Marko Micanovic and in “Command and Conquer 3” Darko Dautovic.
As for the game titled “Half Life: Counter Strike”, which is played in teams, a five-member team called “4.glory” was the victorious one.
This will be Serbia’s fifth participation in the WCG and the first in its own right, now that the state union with Montenegro ceased to exist.
The world finals in "World Cyber Games" will be held from October 3–10 in Seattle, USA.
The Serbian WCG finals were endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Sports and Youth and the municipality of New Belgrade.
