It is the wish of everyone in the ministry to present the history of Serbian sports in this manner and promote Serbia as a successful sporting nation and an attractive destination, and also to show the real values of sports, stressed Samardzic-Markovic.
According to Samardzic-Markovic, from July 31 all information connected to the functioning, work and activities in the area of sports and youth will be available on the website of the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports –
www.mos.sr.gov.yu.
The draft law on sports will also be available on the site, and comments as well as suggestions will be received from August 15, said Samardzic-Markovic, emphasising that it is planned that a special law will be drafted on privatisation in sports, in order to regulate the question of property in that area.
Samardzic-Markovic said that apart from providing support to top sportspeople, representatives of the ministry also help the work of successful young people in all areas, such as students at the Faculty of Organisational Sciences Milan Stojic, Ivan Vujic and Neven Tubic and student at the Faculty of Applied Arts Sava Cajetinac who will represent Serbia at the Microsoft world finals in software design, to be held from August 4 to 12 in Seoul.
Until now we have organised receptions for award winners in important international events, and today we are seeing off four young students, who will represent Serbia in the best way at the great competition of knowledge, said Samardzic-Markovic.
