Director of Belef centre Milena Stojicevic told Tanjug news agency that the audience will see 65 programmes, including nearly 50 visual programmes.
The festival will be taking place at Kalemegdan and will feature its own theatre production.
Among eight premieres will be Ivana Vujic’s “A View from Kalemegdan”, based on the text by Vladimir Velmar-Jankovic, Stojicevic said.
Belef 07 gave the opportunity to young authors to present the new theatre aesthetics.
Festival’s art director Darka Radosavljevic said that Belef 07 will not be characterised by spectacles, big names or popular names but artists and independent productions.
The festival is supported by the Belgrade City Hall and will last until August 14.
