"Roman Night" in Viminacium in service of cultural tourism

Serbian Minister of Culture Vojislav Brajovic said that cultural programme "Roman Night" will be held on July 7 at Viminacium archeological site near Kostolac with the aim of promoting cultural tourism.

Brajovic told a press conference that the Ministry of Culture will dedicate itself to such projects and added that the presentation of cultural heritage to tourists is in the service of the presentation of the state and its people.
“Roman Night” is part of the international multimedia project Live Earth. Playing at 10 pm will be Van Gogh and Ivan Fece Firci.
Apart from Viminacium, music events will take place in another seven cities in the world with biggest names in rock and pop playing, including Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran and Sheryl Crow.
Assistant Minister of Culture Miomir Korac said that it is of extreme importance that Viminacium will for 24 hours be among the planet’s eight centres.
The plans for the Live Earth event were announced in Los Angeles by former US Vice President Al Gore. The organisers hope that nearly two billion people around the planet will see the 24-hour event via TV, radio, film and the internet.
