Film "Saint George Kills the Dragon" gets €380,000 from Eurimages

Belgrade, 4 July 2007

The Serbian Ministry of Culture stated today that the movie project " Saint George Kills the Dragon" got support from the Council of Europe's cinema support fund Eurimages in the amount of €380,000.

At the 106th session of Eurimages' board of management held from July 1 to 3 in Strasbourg, 26 applications were reviewed and 12 of them received the support.

This film, screenplayed by Dusan Kovacevic and directed by Srdjan Dragojevic will be made under the co-production of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Bulgaria. At the Eurimages' session, this project was represented by Serbian Assistant Minister of Culture Branislav Dimitrijevic.

Thirty out of thirty three representatives in the Board of management voted for the film "Saint George Kills the Dragon". The financial aid approved is the highest single donation given for a Serbian movie so far.
