Emir Kusturica’s film “Promise Me This” will tonight open the 29th Moscow International Film Festival.
Kusturica arrived in Moscow last night at the invitation of Russian film director Nikita Mihalkov and said that each time he comes to Russia he realises he is in the land of his teachers – Dostoyevsky, Chekhov and many others.
He said he is pleased to have been invited to open the festival and after meeting Mihalkov last night, who is also president of the Moscow International Film Festival, attended the rehearsal opening at the Puskinsky cinema.
