Sutanovac said that completion of cooperation with the Hague tribunal is first of all a problem of the civil security structures and that the Ministry will soon launch activities that will show that the Ministry and the army are ready and willing to take an active part in the resolution of that problem.
The Minister of Defence said that his position is that all Hague indictees should appear before the court and that he as a minister will do everything to make that happen.
He said that the reform of intelligence and security sector in the defence system will be a part of a comprehensive reform process of the Serbian security system.
A new law that will be the basis for such process will entail the joining of the intelligence and counter intelligence services of the army, that is, the agencies for military intelligence and military security.
The Minister said that one of the sources of revenue for the army will be the surplus of military property, but the money obtained through sale of the military facilities listed in the recently adopted Master plan will not be spent in an unplanned manner.
Sutanovac said that apart from the funds from the budget, the Ministry also expects to obtain funds from the National Investment Plan that would be used for the realisation of some capital projects, such as the repair of MIG-29 fighter aircraft.
The Serbian Army and the Ministry of Defence will continue to work on the strengthening of international cooperation, Sutanovac underlined and added that he will advocate development of cooperation with three mainstays - Brussels, Washington and Moscow.
