Bozidar Djelic at today's press conference
Djelic said at a press conference held after the third session of the new government, that by adopting these amendments the government shows that it wants the interim financing, which will be extended until June 30, to be part of the law and the Constitution.
He announced that the government will hold a session tomorrow at which it will adopt amendments to the Decree on interim financing of the Republic of Serbia, which will enable that the interim financing be extended until June 30.
One of the amendments concerns new formation of the sector for budget planning in the Ministry of Finance, which will be separated from the Treasury.
Djelic said that that is necessary since it is not logical that the budget is prepared in the same place as the Treasury, which executes the budget, because there is a risk of conflict of interests.
The government adopted at this session today the Bill on amendments to the Law on government and Bill on amendments to the Law on public administration, Djelic said and noted that the changes refer to technicalities that harmonise these laws with the new Constitution.
According to him, the government also appointed a number of state secretaries in ministries today.
Djelic also informed the press that Milivoje Mihajlovic was appointed Director of the Office of Media Relations while Tanja Miscevic has kept the position of Director of the EU Integration Office.
He also noted that the
verdict to assassins of prime minister Zoran Djindjic is very important and that it will encourage the prosecution and the whole judicial system to punish all criminals appropriately.
