The Ministry says in a statement that Naumov told the Serbian bishops that the newly-formed government of Serbia is adamant in its stance that Kosovo-Metohija, the cradle of Serbian spirituality, must remain an unalienable and constituent part of Serbia.
Naumov said that the government will for no reason alter its clearly determined policy towards Kosovo-Metohija, defined by the Serbian Constitution and Serbian parliament resolutions.
It was jointly concluded at the session that the state and the Serbian Orthodox Church will work together on improving their mutual relations.
It was also stressed that the cooperation between the government and churches and religious communities in Serbia is of great importance for strengthening essential values in the society and guaranteed rights of religious communities, adds the statement.
