Patriarch Pavle talks with newly elected Minister of Religion

The Serbian Ministry of Religion stated that His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle met yesterday with the newly elected Serbian Minister of Religion Radomir Naumov at the Patriarchal Palace.

According to the statement it was stressed in the meeting that this is an extraordinarily crucial period for Serbia regarding the safeguarding of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kosovo-Metohija.
Patriarch Pavle and the Minister of Religion emphasised in talks that Kosovo-Metohija has special significance for the Serbian nation and its tradition, history and culture.
The relations between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state were also discussed and the conviction was expressed that good cooperation will be continued, reads the statement.
