The idea for the upcoming period is not only to keep the present budget for agriculture, but to increase it considerably. He explained that agriculture is Serbia's greatest chance from which a lot is expected and that is why it should be invested in it.
State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Danilo Golubovic said that preparation of laws on food safety and protection of animals and cattle feed is very important because of the harmonisation of Serbia's regulations with those of the European Union.
Slovenian Minister of Agriculture Iztok Jarc voiced satisfaction over his country's successful participation at the 74th international fair of agriculture in Novi Sad and added that good regional cooperation is important because of the exchange of experiences between the two countries.
Jarc said that cooperation with Serbia, especially in the field of agriculture, is one of Slovenia's priorities and added that Slovenia's good preparation for accession into the EU brought about very positive experiences, first of all in the field of agriculture, that could be used in Serbia as well.
