Vukmirovic told a press conference that the questioning will take place by the end of June and will cover 9,000 households.
He announced preliminary results by the end of the year and noted that a sample of 2,000 internally displaced households, including 300 Roma households, will take part in the opinion poll.
Vukmirovic explained that the survey will include the fields of demography, migration, housing and durable goods, social programme, health care, consumption of non-food products and services, education and agriculture.
He said that the poll also contains a number of questions on workforce, as well as diary-keeping on the consumption of food, drinks, tobacco. He said that the displaced from Kosovo-Metohija will be given an additional questionnaire on property and land they have in the province.
The Director of the Serbian Statistical Office said that some 350 interviewers and a large number of statisticians will be engaged in the survey on living standards. The projected budget for implementation of this project is €500,000.
The main sponsors are UNHCR and the British Department for International Development, while the World Bank has provided expert support, Vukmirovic said and called on citizens to take part in the survey.
