Aleksandar Popovic at today's press conference
Speaking at a press conference held after the government's 193rd session, Popovic explained that the government addressed the public with a statement clearly setting out the measures it had taken on that issue and that it will not make any more statements until it receives a response from the German government.
The Minister said that at its session today, the government decided to set up an interim organ of the Leskovac municipality and to appoint the president and members of that organ.
The government also brought the decision on the number of students to be enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies at state universities for the school year 2007/2008.
Speaking about the decision brought yesterday by the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, requesting Serbia to arrest and surrender all war crimes suspects to the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, in line with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, Popovic said that the Serbian government will make the appropriate decision once it receives the request.
