Best Director Award at Wiesbaden festival goes to Srdan Golubovic

At the Central and Eastern Europe international film festival “GoEast” in Wiesbaden Serbian director Srdan Golubovic won the Best Director Award for his film “The Trap”, which also participated in the Berlin international film festival.
Golubovic also won the award of the international film critics’ jury who declared “The Trap” the best film.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Golubovic said that “The Trap” cannot be placed in the political films category among films dealing with topical political issues, but that it builds its success on esthetic categories, which makes the success in Wiesbaden even greater.
Member of the international jury and film critic from Serbia Borislav Andjelic added that at the “GoEast” festival, this Serbian film was quite well received by the audience. Among featured films, “Seven and a Half” by Miroslav Momcilovic was also screened, he added.
