Dimitrijevic told a press conference that the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services has supported the holding of the Brand Fair during the previous three years, since this helps promote and establish Serbian brands in domestic and foreign markets.
According to Dimitrijevic, a brand conference will be held as the expert part of this event, brand presentation as the exhibition part including presentation stands of leading multinational, regional and domestic companies, as well as presentations of their brands through brand performances.
The Minister said that the central guest of the event will be one of the three biggest world experts in the area of brands and branding Martin Lindstrom and leading world expert in branding nations, regions, cities and author of bestseller “Brand Sense” Simon Anholt.
He said that branding is gaining growing significance, in the context of consumer protection, as well as for domestic and international establishment of economy, and the branding of the country is of major importance in this respect.
Dimitrijevic said that it is expected this fair will showcase presentations of best brands and attract some 50,000 visitors. He added that companies taking part in this event also include Microsoft, MacDonald’s, Henkel, Diners, Kras, Delta, Knjaz Milos, and Donkafa.

General Director of “Mass Media International” and organiser of the Brand Fair Milivoje Radovanovic said that the event is important for several reasons, because above all it is the biggest expert public event connected to brands and branding and gives direct support to the development of Serbia’s economic potential through increasing opportunities for further development and advancement of domestic brands.
The event is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services, the Ministry of International Economic Relations, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Foreign Investors Council. The media sponsors are Radio Television of Serbia and newspaper houses Politika and Vecernje Novosti.
