First Serbian National Film Festival to be held in June in Novi Sad

The Film Centre of Serbia stated today that the first Serbian National Film Festival will be held in June 2007, in Novi Sad.
The administrative board of the new festival will be headed by actor Dragan Bjelogrlic, and director of the festival will be Iva Djurkovic.
According to the statement by the Film Centre of Serbia the formation of a new state created the need for establishing a representative film festival of national importance, because earlier the entire film production was accessed at festivals in Pula and Herzeg Novi.
Aiming to form a festival which will promote national film production in the country, the region and Europe, the Film Centre of Serbia has entered into a partnership with the music festival Exit.
