Golubovic recalled that the initiative for cooperation of Southeast European countries was started in Sofia and added that the second conference was held in Bucharest.
This year’s conference is being organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management together with German organisation for technical cooperation GTZ/WBF.
President of the German Wine Growers’ Association Rudolph Nikening said that the wines of traditional wine countries like France and Latin American have already been discovered and that costumers are now seeking something new.
Director of the Enlargement Office at the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development Rudi Van der Stapen said that the EU plans reforms of this sector with the aim of overcoming problems wine producers face.
Also participating in the conference were representatives of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.
On the same day, from 5 pm to 6 pm, a wine tasting will take place at the Hyatt regency's Crystal Hall.
