Serbian Minister Predrag Bubalo said that relations with Russia in all areas will be intensified, and stressed that in that context the Serbian government brought a decision at its session today that a Serbian delegation should visit Russia next week.
According to Bubalo, delegations of the two countries will discuss the work of the joint committee and several important agreements and activities planned for the upcoming period.
Bubalo expressed satisfaction with the financial transaction between
“Telekom Srbija” and “Telekom Srpske” and pointed to the fact that investing capital has two sides to it, and the biggest profit makers are also the biggest investors.
Such investments should be considered solely a reflection of economic growth and economic strength of a country, said Bubalo and added that it is natural that Serbia, which is seen as a regional leader with a good position, should also practically confirm that and economically have the upper hand in the region because without economic activity and financial transactions, leadership is just a word.
The Minister said that only in that way Serbia can become that what it should be – an attractive destination for foreign investors, because if it becomes a regional leader, it will only mean more foreign capital.
According to Bubalo, investments have not finished with the financial transaction by “Telekom Srbija”; rather it is only a matter of days before realisation of the project of building the bridge near Raca will begin, which will be financed by the Serbian government.
He added that professional service personnel and experts have been tasked with providing the necessary infrastructure for any growth that takes place in the economic cooperation between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, especially Republika Srpska.
The Minister of Economy said that joint projects of electric power systems of the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska are planned.
Bubalo concluded that the invitation to Serbia to join the Partnership for Peace speaks volumes about Serbia's progress in relations with the international community and represents a confirmation of all reform and transitional processes that have been taking place in Serbia in recent years.
