At a meeting with President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia Dejan Tomašević and Secretary General of the Committee Dejan Bojović, Macut said that their achievement was a source of pride for Serbia and all its citizens.
I am particularly happy to have been part of their journey and to have had the opportunity to see them off at the start of the Mediterranean Games, wish them good luck and tell them that we believe in them. Today, I congratulate them on their great success, with which they have once again made Serbia proud, the Prime Minister said.
He thanked the Serbian athletes for their fighting spirit, determination and dignified representation of their country at the 20th Mediterranean Games, where around 5,000 athletes competed in 32 sports.
Team Serbia won a total of 36 medals in Taranto, setting a new Serbian record at the Mediterranean Games.
