Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Pavle voted today for the first time at the referendum for confirming the new Constitution of Serbia and said upon putting his voting paper into a ballot box: “May this be with God’s blessing, to everyone’s welfare, and ours as well".
In line with his position of the head of the church and the shepherd of all believers, regardless of their nationality and political affiliation, the Patriarch has never appeared at polling stations so far, or voted for political parties in Serbia.
Patriarch Pavle arrived at the polling station after the Sunday liturgy at the Main Cathedral Church.
