Prime Minister Macut said that supporting families, creating conditions for young people to stay in the country, and improving the quality of life for citizens are among the priorities of the Serbian government, noting the need to implement long-term measures that will contribute to more favourable demographic trends.
The Prime Minister stated that addressing demographic challenges requires a comprehensive approach and close cooperation between state institutions, international partners and local communities.
Coulson welcomed Serbia’s efforts aimed at improving demographic policies and expressed UNFPA’s readiness to continue supporting projects that contribute to sustainable development and the well-being of citizens.
It was emphasised that continuing successful cooperation is important for creating policies that will respond to contemporary demographic challenges and contribute to Serbia’s long-term development.
